Take the Tour: Inside My Private Fitting Room at Stylist1
Share
Behind a certain door at my Stuart salon, there's a room that means more to me than any other space in the building. It's my private fitting room — and I wish every nervous client could see it before they ever walk in.
Because here's what I know after 30+ years as a licensed cosmetologist: the hardest part of getting a wig isn't the wig. It's walking through the door the first time.
What you'll find in here
One comfortable chair. A tall mirror that catches the good light. A wig waiting on its stand — because sometimes it's easier to talk about possibilities when you can touch them.
There's no waiting room full of strangers. No fluorescent lights, no audience, no one peeking around a curtain while you try on something this personal. Just the two of us, honest talk about your hair, and my shade rings until we land on the one that looks like you.
How every fitting starts
It always starts the same way: you tell me your story.
Maybe you're dealing with thinning that's been quietly getting worse. Maybe you're starting fresh after treatment. Maybe you've just always wanted to try a new look without the commitment. Whatever brought you here, I listen first. Then we figure out the hair together — the shade, the cut, the fit, the way it needs to feel on your head for you to forget it's there.
There's no audition. Nobody here needs to "perform." Some of my favorite moments in this business have been watching a quiet, nervous woman turn side to side in that mirror and smile at a reflection she recognizes again.
The little things
You'll probably notice the details — the shade rings lined up just so, the tools I've kept in the same spots for years, and yes, my Diet Coke and coffee on the side table. (Everyone who knows me knows I can't work without both.) This room is where I spend my best hours of the day, and I like it to feel like home.
Come see it for yourself
My fitting room is open by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday, for private one-on-one consultations. If you've been thinking about it — this is your sign. You don't have to be ready. You just have to be curious.
Book at stylist1.com, or send me a message. I'd love to show you the room.
Have a bright day!
