Sunday Reset: 3 Tiny Rituals That Make Monday Feel Like You
Share
Sundays are sacred in my book. After a full week of taking care of everyone else, Sunday is when you get to take care of you — and if you wear a wig, that includes a little love for your hair too.
Here's a ritual I give every one of my wig clients. Three tiny things on Sunday night that make Monday morning feel like you again.
1. The five-minute brush-out
Set a timer for five minutes. Starting at the ends and working your way up, gently brush through your wig — or your own hair, if it's a topper or extension night. Slow strokes. No rushing, no yanking.
This isn't really about the hair. It's about slowing down with yourself. Five quiet minutes where nobody needs anything from you. Notice how different you feel when the timer goes off.
2. The night off
Set your wig on its stand for the night — give it a rest from the day, just like you're giving yourself.
And honestly? Take the night off too. Skip the heavy news scroll. Put the phone down early. Sundays aren't for catching up on the week you just had; they're for easing into the one ahead.
3. The kind sentence
Before the week starts, name one true thing you like about yourself. Out loud. It doesn't have to be about your hair or your looks — it can be about how you showed up for someone this week, or how you handled something hard.
Hair changes. That part of you doesn't.
Why this works
Confidence isn't a big dramatic thing. It's built in tiny, repeatable moments — five minutes with a brush, a stand by your bedside, one kind sentence in a quiet room. Do it this Sunday, then next Sunday, and watch how Monday starts to feel.
And if looking in the mirror has been hard lately — if your hair has been changing and you don't recognize the person looking back — you don't have to figure it out alone. That's exactly what my private one-on-one consultations are for. Just you and me, no pressure, in my Stuart studio.
You spend all week taking care of everyone else. Sundays are for you. 💛
Have a bright day!
