Last Day of Prime Deals: My Honest Take on the CHI Flat Iron
Share
Prime deals end tonight, and if your feed looked anything like my week, you've been asked a dozen times which flat iron to buy. My clients asked me the same thing — in the chair and in my DMs. So here's my honest answer, one more time, before the prices go back up.
My answer: the CHI flat iron.
I've used a CHI in my Stuart salon every day for years, and I recommend it for one simple reason: it heats precisely where I set it. That matters more than any feature on the box.
Here's why. Fine, fragile, or thinning hair — and human-hair wigs — can't take high heat. Too hot and you fry delicate strands; too cool and you drag over the same section five times, which causes its own kind of damage. Cheap flat irons give you one blazing temperature and call it a day. The CHI lets me keep the heat low and effective, exactly where fragile hair needs it.
My heat-styling rules (sale or no sale)
- Low and slow wins. One smooth pass at the right temperature beats three passes at high heat.
- Heat protectant every time. No exceptions — on your bio hair and on human-hair wigs.
- Clean your plates. Product buildup drags and snags. Wipe the plates when they're cool.
- Wigs need rest days. Keep heat styling to a minimum, store your human-hair wig on a stand, and it will reward you with a much longer life.
